Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains when returns are accepted, including returns for defective or damaged items, how to request a return, who pays return shipping, and how refunds are processed for purchases made from Averoak Optics.
We aim to keep the process clear before you order. If anything on this page conflicts with mandatory consumer protection law in your location, the applicable law will control to that extent.
Standard return window
For most standard, non-final-sale items, you may request a return within 30 days after the delivery date shown by the carrier.
Returned items must be unused, complete, and in their original product packaging with included accessories, manuals, and protective materials.
Return eligibility
- Defective, damaged, incorrect, or materially not-as-described items may be accepted for return, exchange, replacement, store credit, or refund after review.
- Standard unused items may be accepted for return when they meet the return window and packaging requirements in this policy.
- Items marked final sale, clearance, non-returnable, or similar wording at the time of purchase.
- Used products, products damaged after delivery, or products returned without essential parts or accessories.
- Customized, special-order, or personalized items.
- Gift cards and any item excluded by law or clearly identified as non-returnable.
How to start a return
- Email service@averoakoptics.com or use our contact page within the applicable return window.
- Include your order number, the item or items you want to return, and the reason for the request. If there is a defect, transit damage, or fulfillment error, include clear photos.
- Wait for our return instructions before sending anything back. Returns sent without prior approval may be delayed, refused, or returned to sender.
Return shipping costs
If the return is due to a change of mind, unwanted purchase, or order placed in error, the customer is generally responsible for return shipping costs. Original shipping charges are usually not refundable unless required by law.
If the item arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or materially not as described, contact us promptly and we will review the case. If the claim is approved, we may accept the return and provide a replacement, exchange, refund, store credit, or return-shipping solution at our cost.
Inspection and refund timing
Once an approved return is received, we inspect the item to confirm eligibility. If the return is approved, the refund is issued to the original payment method within 5 business days after inspection.
Your payment provider or card issuer may need additional time to post the refund to your account. If we deny a return because the item does not meet the policy requirements, we will let you know the reason.
Exchanges and replacements
If replacement stock is available, we may offer an exchange or replacement for eligible items, including approved defective, damaged, incorrect, or materially not-as-described items. If the exact replacement is unavailable, we may offer a refund or another reasonable solution.
Order cancellation
If you need to cancel an order, contact us immediately. We cannot guarantee cancellation once processing or shipment has started. If the order has already shipped, the standard return process will apply.
